What’s LED Transformer?
An LED transformer is more accurately called an LED driver or LED power supply—is a device that converts standard mains voltage (such as 220V or 110V AC) to a lower, safer voltage suitable for LED lighting, typically 12V or 24V DC.
Categories of LED transformer
Based on the different lighting applications, there are three main categories of LED transfromers:
1.AC to DC Transformers: Convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC).
2.Constant Voltage Drivers: Provide a steady voltage (e.g., 12V or 24V) for LED strips or modules.
3.Constant Current Drivers: Provide a steady current (e.g., 350mA, 700mA) for high-power LED lights.
What is 12V & 24V LED Transformer and their difference ?
12V LED Transformer (or led power supply 12v), converts AC mains power to 12V DC, suitable only for LED lights that are rated for 12V.
24V LED Transformer (or led power supply 24v) only functions converting AC mains power to 24V DC, suitable only for LED products rated for 24V.
They are not interchangeable. Using a 24V transformer with 12V LEDs will burn out the LED. And Using a 12V transformer with 24V LEDs will make the LEDs not light up or work improperly.

You can have the LED light’s specification from its instructions. Typically, many indoor lightings come with 12 Volt. Please keep it known that 12V LED transformer only matches 12V lights and 24V LED transformer is only suitable for 24V LED lights.
Are there any LED transformer supporting both 12V or 24V?
Most LED transformers (drivers) are designed to output a fixed voltage—either 12V or 24V, not both at the same time. For example, LUMILAND‘s LDL LED transformer series support power supply for 12V or 24V, which means it is compatible with 12V LED lighting fixture or 24V LED lighting fixture. (But it doesn’t support connecting 12V and 24V lights at the same time.)
Is there an LED transfromer supporting 12V and 24V LED lights at the same time?
It is rare that connecting 12V lights and 24V lights at the same time. But there are manufacturers that offer Dual-Output Transformers that allow you to connect both 12V and 24V lights. But this LED transformer is rare, more expensive, and typically used in custom installations.
